Oilseed Extraction
Our cold press process is designed to preserve the natural antioxidants and essential nutrients in the oil and meal, while minimizing degradation during extraction. The definition of cold pressing varies by product, industry, but it generally means that the seed and oil never exceed 140°F. By maintaining low temperatures, we ensure a pure, high-quality oil while maximum nutritional benefits of the meal.
RBDW & Distillation
Laketown Mills offers a range of sophisticated oil filtration processes, including refining, bleaching, deodorizing, & winterization. We also offer a unique process of deep vacuum molecular distillation. Both of these processes have the ability to remove virtually all impurities from oil as well as capture high-value heat sensitive compounds such as phospholipids and triglycerides.
Screening
